PYRAMID
Right at the college west gate a Pyramid has been constructed at an estimate of Rs.3,00,000.
The idea behind its construction is to get relief from the daily tension both by the staff members and students.
The Pyramid is constructed with white marble with a meditation hall of 9’m x 9’m size. It is believed that it supplies peace to all who step in and do meditation.

GENERAL LIBRARY
The general Library is housed in a spacious magnificent building and it is very user friendly. There are about 107396 books and 170 periodicals. There is also a U.G.C Book Bank. In addition, each Post-Graduate and Under-Graduate Department maintains a separate department library with an excellent collection of standard text-books, and leading Journals with back volumes.

STUDENTS' CO-OPERATIVE STORE
The college Students’ co-operative store is functioning in the college premises for the students and staff to meet their day-to-day requirements.
The stationery items, text books and note-books are made available to the students at a very reasonable price.  Household articles, consumer products, electrical and electronic appliances are also given on credit for the benefit of the staff members.
Recognising the services rendered by the co-operative store both to the students and staff members, the district authorities have recognized our college students’ co-operative store as the Best Society for the years 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
BOYS HOSTEL
  The College provides hostel facilities for the students who hail from long distance.  There are two hostels located within the college premises for the use of the boys namely PSC hostel and M.S.P.S.S. Hostel.
The college management has provided the hostels with basic amenities for the comfortable stay of the students.  Each room is provided with tube lights, fans and cots.  Each floor of the hostel has separate bathroom and toilet facilities.  There is a separate reading room for each hostel where dailies, weeklies and monthlies are made available.  A hygienic kitchen with modern facilities like gas cooking, boiler cooking, 24 hours mineral water supply is available in the hostel.
To enable the students to make their leisure time useful, typewriting classes and short-hand classes are conducted in the hostel premises regularly in the evenings at an affordable cost.
The college management also ensures 24 hours uninterrupted  water supply to the hostel by constructing a well exclusively for the use of the hostlers.

GIRLS HOSTEL
Separate hostel facilities are available for girl students.  There are 3 hostels meant for girl students - one constructed recently with the financial assistance of  ` 80 lakhs from UGC.  24 hours uninterrupted power supply is ensured with the help of genset.  Special rooms are also available with internet connectivity.  A mini modern shop found within the hostel meets the day to day requirements of the inmates.  Provision for the indoor games and outdoor games are made within the hostel.  For the recreation of  the inmates an audio system and TV are made available.  Typewriting classes and sewing classes are conducted regularly in the evenings for the students at a nominal fee.

STAFF QUARTERS
To house the outstation teachers, staff quarters are available within the college premises.  It was constructed in 1973 with the UGC grant of Rs.1.50 lakhs and the Management contribution of Rs.1.50 lakhs.   A nominal rent is collected from the inmates. 

CANTEEN
For the benefit of the students and staff a magnificent Students Welfare Canteen is constructed at a cost of  ` 15/- lakhs.  It is a fully furnished cafeteria built with architectural beauty.  Hygienic food and light refreshment are provided at a reasonable cost.  Separate cubicles are allotted for boys, girls and teachers.

SWIMMING POOL
With the UGC grant of Rs.40 lakhs and the magnanimous contribution of Rs.25 lakhs by the college management a splendid college swimming pool came into existence in the year 1998.  Only a very few colleges have this facility across the country and VHNSN College, Virudhunagar has got in for the students. It comprises of two pools – a racing pool with 25 mts of length constructed at national standard and a learner pool to train the students and public on swimming. Coachers have been appointed to take care of the learners.  Girls are given separate timings. Endowments are created in the names of Mr.Dharmarajan and Mr.V.P.P.K Chinnadurai Nadar to conduct swimming competitions. Every year state level competitions are conducted both for school boys and college students and Rolling Cups are distributed to winning teams.

COMPUTER FACILITIES & LAN
The college offers world class computing facility.
  1. The computational needs of the students, researchers and staff members are met through well-equipped laboratories.
  2. The resources in the Computer Lab are continually updated with the changing industrial trends.  This is because college management feels the necessity of computer knowledge in this emerging scenario of Information Technology.
  3. There are 563 computers available in our college campus. Advanced computing facility is provided with the lasts core2-duo processors from Intel.
  4. Centralized computing facilities and consultation to users are provided to meet the needs beyond those met by individual PCs.  There are three hi-tech computer labs consisting of core2-duo and IBM based workstations to meet the requirements of regular laboratory sessions that are part of the academic curriculum.  All workstations have access to Windows, Linux and Novell platforms.
  5. A special server room is assigned for networking facilities in each computer lab.
  6. There are eight high-end IBM servers to cater to all the Windows-based workstations, and one for UNIX-based workstation and another one for Novell-based workstation.
  7. The Computer lab is kept open from Morning 9 O’clock to Evening 8 O’clock to enable students learn independently a lot.

  1. This network connects together all the computers spread over the college campus.
  2. The network utilizes a mixture of 80211g wireless technology and coaxial cables and switches.
  3. An intranet server with an internal website has also been provided.
  4. They are also considered as the backbone of the new Campus Network facility.
  5. Wi-Fi facility is also provided to the department of Chemistry, Commerce, English, Botany, Management studies, MCA and Microbiology.
PLACEMENT CELL :
An exclusive placement cell is functioning under the headship of the placement officer. The cell prepares the database of the outgoing students in the form of a brochure and it is circulated to the prospective employers. This cell, which acts as a bridge between the employers and our students, has helped many students obtain their permanent placement in leading organisations.
BANK FACILITY :
An Extension counter of the Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank Ltd., functions in the T.M.S.Mathalai Nadar -T.M.S.M.Jeyabalan Memorial Building. Every student is directed to open a Savings Bank Account in his/her name as soon as he / she joins any course and give the account number to the college office.
HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION :
Separate Hostel facility for both boys and girls is available. All the students who do not reside with their parents or guardians should stay in the hostel. The application form can be obtained from the Hostel Office. Every applicant must submit two passport size photos along with the application form.
The Hostel Mess is being run under the dividing system. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian meals are served separately. The Deposit amount is adjusted against the mess bills for the last two months of the academic year and the balance, if any, will be refunded through the bank. Hostel rules and regulations must be strictly followed. Any violation of Hostel rules will lead to dismissal from the Hostel. Any grievance must be communicated to the Hostel Authorities.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES :
All the physical facilities for sports and games are available. The students can avail themselves of the opportunities for joining the National Cadet Corps or the National Service Scheme, the Planning Forum, Cine Forum, Youth Red Cross and Photographic Club.
