Vision

The Department envisions developing itself into academic excellence in the field of computer applications in order to develop competitive professionals having right knowledge, skill and attitude to serve the society and ever-changing industry.

Mission

To provide quality education to the students with a view to instilling confidence in them so that they can take up various challenges in the field of computer applications.

Objectives

To prepare the students to manage the software components in a computer independently and to be a programmer.
To motivate the students to take up higher studies in Computer Applications and other streams.
MCA is a course exclusively designed to meet the IT requirements of IT Trained Students for various organizations. The well balanced course significantly emphasizes on planning, designing and building of complex commercial application software and system software. The course also places equal importance on the functional knowledge in various areas.
A three years full-time MCA course is not just a postgraduate course; it is also a complete professional grooming for students for a successful career in the IT Industry.
The objective of this programme is to develop system programmers and analysts to meet the manpower requirement of fast developing software industry. The programme is designed to enrich the programming and analysis ability of students. Professional computer knowledge is offered through PGDCA.

The Institute offers world class computing facility.
A State of the art computer centre with internet and contemporary software facilities.
A Special server room is assigned for networking facilities.
Lab has Core i5 machines with networking, audio system, visual projector, printers, scanner and digital camera.
Besides the conventional softwares for academic curriculam, computer centres are installed with high-end softwares.
Students are encouraged and assisted to do projects on real-time, which gave job value in the industrial market.
Network with wireless bachbone and a 75Mbps broadband internet connection offer unlimited access of internet to the students round the clock, for their educational and research needs.
Computer lab is kept open between 8.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. on all working days.

Library

Dedicated Department Library has a huge collection of latest text books (3470), reference books (296), student project reports, conference proceedings, journals and magazines related to the field of computers and information technology. Faculty and students of the department have got access to the department library.

Laboratory

The department has 86 computers (4 server & 82 client) with 5 printers and 4 ups.
